Stories Of Women in Engineering – Kanak

Why do you feel reliable intelligent mobility systems matters?
Intelligent mobility systems are critical to improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability. From ADAS to IoT-enabled tracking, these technologies reduce human error and enable data-driven decisions.
By strengthening testing frameworks and engineering processes, we ensure innovation translates into real-world reliability—creating safer roads, smarter factories, and more connected ecosystems.
Through your role, how are you building reliable intelligent mobility systems?
As a Program Manager at ALTEN India with 12+ years of experience, I contribute to building reliable and scalable intelligent mobility solutions across automotive and IoT domains. My work spans ADAS, LiDAR validation for autonomous systems, data annotation platforms, and RFID-based tracking solutions, leading cross-functional QA teams and complex validation programs.
Through strong test strategies, Agile practices, and automation-driven approaches, I focus on ensuring quality, efficiency, and the successful delivery of dependable real-world engineering systems.
What concrete steps have you taken in the past year to build it?
- Strengthened Agile governance through sharper backlog management, clear entry–exit criteria, and better sprint quality metrics to cut production defects.
- Enhanced automation by optimising tools, closing automation gaps, and increasing regression coverage for more confident, efficient releases.
- Built team capability by mentoring QA leads, running improvement sessions, and using dashboards and KPIs to drive decisions.
