A leading global automotive OEM based in France partnered with ALTEN India for the design and development of seat back and cushion foam systems. The objective was to deliver a high-quality, production-ready seat foam aligned with stringent customer standards, ergonomic requirements, and regulatory specifications.
ALTEN India was responsible for Style feasibility to Tool go ahead for seat back foam, ensuring seamless integration with styling, structural, and functional parameters.

Challenge:
- Complex integration requirements: Aligning Class A styling surfaces with underlying foam design while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
- Data dependency: Managing multiple input datasets including environment data, human resource (HR) data, lumbar modules, and HVAC considerations.
- Regulatory and customer compliance: Adhering to strict global OEM and customer comfort, ergonomics standards and validation criteria.
- Fit and finish: Ensuring precise STO (Soft Trim Offset) handling for bolsters, inserts, and deciding trench lines.
